The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Radcliff swivels and escapes.

and Radcliff counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alvarez won't be happy with that.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Radcliff connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Alvarez some visible discomfort.

Radcliff has control of Alvarez's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Alvarez regains control of the situation pretty easily.
