Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Antonio Cesaro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy White!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cesaro dives in for a single leg takedown but White sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Cesaro tries to land knees in the clinch but White avoids the damage to the body.

White breaks the clinch.
White misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
White slaps away a takedown attempt from Cesaro, before circling back to the center of the mat.
White lands with a thumping leg kick.
Cesaro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has White pinned against the cage. White gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Cesaro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
White lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
White fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cesaro has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Cesaro shoots for a double leg takedown but White sprawls well. He's pushed Cesaro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cesaro is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
White ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Cesaro seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

White has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.

Cesaro shoots in looking for a takedown. White tries to sprawl out of it but Cesaro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. White manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

White is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Freddy White was stalling too much, according to the referee.

White manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Cesaro manages to get an easy takedown there - catching White on his heels. He'll look to pass White's guard now, I'm sure.
Cesaro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cesaro is looking to work some ground and pound but White has wrist control.
Cesaro scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Cesaro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cesaro throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as White works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if White can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cesaro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. White is keeping the position for now.
Cesaro prevents White from getting back to his feet.
Cesaro throws an elbow that misses. White uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cesaro's guard. Nice move by White!

Cesaro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says White as he avoids it easily.
Cesaro chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before White can pounce on him.
That kick from White tenderised Cesaro's leg. Cesaro is trying to keep his angry face on.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Freddy White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
