PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brown Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistar McLean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson comes into the arena with crazy bitch blaring out of the sound system. Alistar McLean will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alistar McLean!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson misses with a head kick.
McLean throws a shot to the body.
McLean lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
McLean scores with a nice right hand.
McLean looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nice defenses there by Wilson.
Jab, jab by McLean - just one landing.
McLean lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Wilson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McLean throws a lazy right hand but Wilson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Wilson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McLean swivels and escapes.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McLean can do anything to dispel that myth.

McLean tries to bench press Wilson off him but Wilson keeps the position.
McLean parries the strikes from Wilson easily there. Wilson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable McLean to escape.
McLean tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Wilson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McLean sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McLean is trying to improve his position.

Wilson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Wilson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McLean is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
McLean is looking to regain half guard here but Wilson keeps moving and retains side control.
Wilson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The ground and pound from Wilson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
McLean can't do much from the bottom here.

McLean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wilson lands a few punches from side control.
Wilson cracks McLean with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Wilson immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! McLean is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Wilson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brown Wilson!
Brown Wilson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
Alistar McLean spoke after the fight, saying 'What a f***ing joke, go on and hype yourself now that you stole my victory. Be happy for yourself for now, but rest assured that I'll test your skills somewhere where judge won't be defending your sorry ass.'.
