Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Vogelpohl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooper's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, s.mouse - slap my elbow. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Cooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chuck Vogelpohl!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vogelpohl lands the left hand.
Cooper tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Vogelpohl counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cooper is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vogelpohl is controlling him.
Cooper utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cooper wants to sweep here but Vogelpohl controlling him for the moment.
Vogelpohl missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cooper avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cooper is on top in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cooper stands and steps away. Vogelpohl gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Vogelpohl wants to control from the top but Cooper keeps moving.

Vogelpohl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cooper swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vogelpohl passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Vogelpohl creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cooper sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Vogelpohl goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cooper rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Vogelpohl's guard! Nice work there by Cooper!

Vogelpohl is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cooper is aware though and is defending well.

Vogelpohl has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cooper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vogelpohl wants to improve his position but instead Cooper has moved into half guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Vogelpohl working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Vogelpohl wants to control but Cooper is keeping him busy.
Vogelpohl lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cooper down.
Vogelpohl has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chuck Vogelpohl showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
