Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pieter Aart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iker Casillas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aart's entrance music is Eye of the Tiger. A fine choice. Iker Casillas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Pieter Aart's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pieter Aart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Iker Casillas!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aart throws an overhand right that lands on Casillas's shoulder, as Casillas tries to avoid the shot.
Aart throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Aart misses with a two punch combination.
Aart misses the shot to the body.
Casillas closes the distance and clinches up with Aart, looking for a takedown. Casillas pushes Aart against the cage but Aart circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Casillas is thwarting Aart's attempts to control the position.

Aart tries to kick Casillas off in order to stand up. Casillas Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Casillas is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Aart's shoulder. That is not cool.

Casillas tries to advance to mount but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Casillas is looking to take a break and control but Aart is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aart tries to improve position but can't.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Casillas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aart tries to avoid it but Casillas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aart to the ground. Aart escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Aart as Casillas shoots in.
Pieter Aart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iker Casillas.
Casillas shoots in but no luck this time.
Aart loads up on a big right hand but Casillas slips the punch.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Aart shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Aart decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Aart pivots, looking for a leg kick but Casillas is out of range and Aart settles back down.

and Aart cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Aart lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Aart misses with a wild combination.

Casillas scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Aart controlling the position for now.
Aart is trying to stand.
Casillas is tying to control. Aart wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Casillas prevents Aart from standing back up.

Aart is staying active underneath Casillas, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Casillas is working for a kimura but Aart is defending it quite comfortably.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Aart clinches up with Casillas and pushes him back against the cage.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Casillas is breathing heavily.
Aart sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Casillas's guard.
Casillas is still in real trouble! Can Aart finish him?
Aart is controlling the pace.
Casillas seems to have recovered his senses.
Aart is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Casillas wants to control but Aart is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Aart wants to take a breather but Casillas is having none of it.
Aart will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Aart wants to stand but Casillas has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Casillas wants to control but Aart is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Aart is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Casillas reverses the position - he's now on top in Aart's guard.

Aart pushes Casillas off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Aart counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Casillas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Aart counters with a nice uppercut.
Casillas with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Aart to score with a decent uppercut.
Aart throws a right and a left that both miss.
Aart is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Casillas blocks a head kick by Aart.
Aart looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Casillas shoots and misses
and Aart counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Casillas is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Aart counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

and Aart connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pieter Aart dominated that second round.
That's time! Aart's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Aart is looking to clinch but Casillas is avoiding it.
Aart tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Casillas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aart's head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Aart is in trouble now - Casillas has advanced to mount!

Casillas is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Aart has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Aart!
Casillas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Aart controlling the position for now.
Casillas works his way into full mount!

Casillas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Aart is looking to escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Casillas looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Iker Casillas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Aart has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
