The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dacoycoy fails in his attempt to clinch.

We're going to have a standup here because Andrew Hartley wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Dacoycoy stands up from Hartley's guard - Dacoycoy perhaps looking for a knockout.
Hartley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dacoycoy tries to avoid it but Hartley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dacoycoy to the ground. Dacoycoy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hartley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dacoycoy did well to prevent Hartley getting side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
It looks like Hartley is going to stand back up.
Hartley is looking to advance position but Dacoycoy won't allow it.

Dacoycoy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hartley manages to get himself to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Hartley gets the takedown into side control.
Dacoycoy wants to get back to his feet.
Dacoycoy felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Dacoycoy is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hartley connects with a decent elbow.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Hartley here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Hartley has an Americana. Dacoycoy didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hartley is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hartley hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
