PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dallas Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Braves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the ring accompanied by Yelawolf - Pop The Trunk. Braves has chosen I Want War by Pastor Troy as his entrance music. Jimmy Braves told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Braves!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braves misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Braves swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Braves lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Braves takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones wants to clinch but Braves slips to the side
and Braves counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Jones has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Pahuyuth Muay Thai 12 elite coaches in the buildup to the fight.

Braves tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Jones.

It looks like Jimmy Braves has been cut.

A frustrated look appears on Braves's face as he tries to break the clinch.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Jones throws an elbow but misses.

Braves breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Braves throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it.

Jones moves into the clinch.
Jones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
A frustrated look appears on Braves's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Jones tries to land knees in the clinch but Braves avoids the damage to the body.

Braves keeps the fight on the outside.
Braves with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Braves pushes him off.

and Braves counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Braves changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dallas Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Braves counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jones thinking.
Braves cracks Jones with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Braves takes advantage, countering with a massive head kick that sends Jones sprawling across the canvas! That's completely screwed up his equilibrium and I'm not sure he's going to beat the count! The referee's already at 6 and Jones is flopping around all over the place - the referee has seen enough and has called an end to the fight!
