Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greig Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Promises Promises as his entrance music. Mark Powers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Powers trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Powers passes Smith's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Powers working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith wants to get back to his feet.

Powers creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Smith sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Powers tries to move to mount but Smith blocks the move with his legs.
Powers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Powers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working.

Powers is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Powers is tying to control. Smith wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Powers gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Smith has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Powers avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Powers.
Powers prevents Smith from breaking the clinch.
Powers wants the takedown. Smith is fighting it off but Powers persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Smith's guard against the cage.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Powers here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Smith wants to stand but Powers is controlling the position.
Powers stands up and waves to Smith to follow him.
Powers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Powers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Powers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
