The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hallman closes the distance and clinches.

Hallman breaks from the clinch.
Hallman lets loose with a powerful body kick. Rick will feel that in the morning.
Rick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hallman doesn't manage to clinch there - Rick circles away.
Hallman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rick throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hallman.

Hallman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rick avoids it really well and circles away.
No luck for Hallman with that takedown attempt.
Hallman takes one to the chin there.
Rick throws a low kick but Hallman moves out of range easily.

Hallman has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rick after a bit of a struggle.

Hallman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hallman jumps guard but Rick stands there with Hallman around his waist. Hallman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hallman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rick is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Rick is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hallman is defending well for now.

Hallman ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hallman no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Rick is looking to stand up but Hallman won't let him.
Hallman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hallman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rick is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Hallman lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rick hang on?

Rick's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Hallman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rick is surviving well by controlling Hallman's body position as best he can.

Hallman is working for a guillotine from mount but Rick frees his head quite easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hallman forces Rick back against the cage and clinches.
Hallman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rick pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Rick stops a takedown attempt from Hallman.
Hallman managing to block the knees to the body from Rick.
Hallman softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hallman wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rick is trying to push Hallman away but Hallman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Hallman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hallman shoots in for a double leg but Rick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
We've been informed that Rick has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seth Hallman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rick scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Hallman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rick defends it nicely.

Oooooh!!! Rick has knocked Hallman down with a huge combo! Rick steps away and waves a wobbly Hallman back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Hallman is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hallman drops his hands for a split second and Rick immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Hallman face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Rick follows up with a right hand that knocks Hallman into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
