Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anton Bacinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BATT SMITH (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Anton Bacinski has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Anton Bacinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, BATT SMITH!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bacinski connects with a crisp jab.
SMITH walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

SMITH darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bacinski is looking for a sweep. SMITH is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bacinski is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute SMITH jumps into side control!
Bacinski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but SMITH wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

SMITH tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no SMITH has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bacinski is not content to let SMITH control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
SMITH creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bacinski sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Bacinski is trying to improve his position.
SMITH trying to control the action but Bacinski is working from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
SMITH is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bacinski tries to bum rush SMITH with a series of wild strikes but SMITH uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

SMITH scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
SMITH tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bacinski's legs.
Bacinski is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked SMITH off and has taken his back!

Bacinski will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Bacinski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but SMITH can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bacinski is breathing heavily.
SMITH sitting in guard, not really doing much.
SMITH wants to pass the guard but Bacinski is keeping the position.

Bacinski has his foot on SMITH's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. SMITH works his way back into a safe position though.

Bacinski is trying to stick to SMITH's back but SMITH is turning into Bacinski. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bacinski's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by SMITH.

SMITH drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and SMITH jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

BATT SMITH dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

SMITH misses with a takedown attempt - Bacinski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
BATT SMITH seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bacinski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
SMITH takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
SMITH passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bacinski!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, SMITH cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bacinski is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

I really don't envy Bacinski right now.

Bacinski is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Will SMITH go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for SMITH. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

and Bacinski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

SMITH has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bacinski has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Bacinski manages to reverse the position and now he's in SMITH's guard. Nice work there by Bacinski.

SMITH with the ground and pound but Bacinski uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Anton Bacinski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

SMITH is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

I've got SMITH winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
