The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails to land the takedown.
Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Cook looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Silva!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cook creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Cook looks up at the clock and then as Silva takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cook smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva is trying to escape the position but Cook is controlling the position.
Silva should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Cook has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Cook cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
