The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mewes misses with a takedown attempt
and McKilly counters with a stiff right hand.
Nice jab there from McKilly.
Mewes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McKilly counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mewes thinking.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McKilly closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

McKilly breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McKilly is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
McKilly is trying to break the clinch but Mewes has him pressed against the cage.
Mewes looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Mewes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McKilly walks away with a smile on his face. Mewes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McKilly takes the fight into the clinch.

McKilly drops Mewes with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mewes looks back up at him and smiles so McKilly waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Mewes is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McKilly lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
