Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis shoots in for a takedown but Dawkins shows good takedown defense.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dawkins as he avoids it easily.
Lenny Dawkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junior Lewis.
Lewis closes the distance and clinches up with Dawkins, looking for a takedown. Lewis pushes Dawkins against the ropes but Dawkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A left and a right from Lewis both land. Nice combination.

Dawkins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lewis to the mat! Lewis manages to get full guard.

Lewis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dawkins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Dawkins stays in close to Lewis's body and controls the position.

Lewis has his foot on Dawkins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dawkins works his way back into a safe position though.
