Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Sherk!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hunt pinned against the cage. Hunt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hunt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sherk.
Hunt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hunt wants it to stay on the feet.
Hunt tries to bum rush Sherk with a series of wild strikes but Sherk uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sherk looks for a takedown but Hunt sprawls well.
John Hunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Sherk.
Hunt looks to land a right hand but Sherk moved out of range.
Sherk moves in looking to clinch but Hunt pushes him off.
Hunt lands a jab to Sherk's midsection.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sherk.
Sherk has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Dave Sherk has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt shoots in but Sherk avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hunt lands a glancing blow to the side of Sherk's head.
Hunt is pawing at Sherk, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Sherk's nose. Sherk is badly hurt! Hunt pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Sherk tries desperately to hold on but Hunt is relentless in his assault! As Sherk receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Hunt away and this one is in the books!
