Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yogg Saron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver has chosen Pirate Song as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver dodges the punch combination from Saron.

Saron instigates a clinch.

Silver fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Silver misses with a knee strike.
Saron is trying to break free.
Silver tries to land a knee to the head but Saron blocks with his arms.
Silver unloads a knee to the mid-section. Saron lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Silver is trying to trip Saron. He has hold of a leg but Saron is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Silver persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Saron is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Silver throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Saron works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Saron utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Silver tries to free his leg and advance position but Saron is retaining full guard.

Saron wants to stand and escape but Silver is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Saron misses with a head kick.
Saron will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silver tries a head kick but it misses.
Saron looks for a takedown but Silver sprawls well.
Saron is breathing heavily.
Saron is looking to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Saron or perhaps it was just good defense by Silver which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yogg Saron. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Saron throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Saron tries to keep at a distance but Silver has taken the fight into the clinch.
Silver gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Saron.

Silver has picked Saron up - he's going for a ride! Silver dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Silver passes the guard and advances to mount!
Saron is in a horrible position here. Silver smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Saron is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silver lands a heavy elbow.
Silver postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Saron looks a forlorn figure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Silver cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Silver lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saron tries to buck Silver off but he can't manage it.
