Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clippin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Clippin lands in his opponent's guard.

Penn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Penn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Penn looking for a sweep. Not yet Penn, not yet.
Clippin passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Penn blocking the ground and pound attempt from Clippin.

Clippin is trying to work for a kimura but Penn is defending well.

Clippin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Penn is just riding it out for now. Clippin eventually gives up the hold.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Penn shoots and misses
and Clippin counters with a two punch combo.
Penn takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Penn takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Penn with a lazy takedown attempt

so Clippin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Clippin works over Penn with some ground and pound from guard.
Clippin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Penn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clippin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Penn is tightening it up a little... Clippin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Clippin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Clippin taps out! nice BJJ there by Penn!
