Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damien Satan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roddy Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Satan comes to the cage accompanied by Bullet For My Valentine - Hit The Floor. Piper is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Real Men Wear Skirts. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Satan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Roddy Piper!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Satan's corner calls for a 1-2. Satan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Satan throws a hook but Piper blocks it.
Satan shoots for a takedown but Piper saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Satan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Piper is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Piper is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Satan defends it well.
Satan is not content to let Piper control the position.
Satan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Satan.
Satan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Piper throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Satan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Piper is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Satan wants to sweep but no luck.

Satan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Piper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Satan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Piper is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Satan.

A lull in the action here as Piper stalls from top position.
Satan is not content to let Piper control the position.
Satan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Piper tries to roll over but Satan keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Satan throws a nice inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Satan scores with a sloppy right hand. Piper should have avoided that one.
Piper looks for the body kick but Satan saw that one coming.

That was a close round but I would say that Damien Satan will probably get the nod.

Nice uppercut lands for Piper. That snapped Satan's head back.
Satan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Piper on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Piper misses with the combination.
Satan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Piper lands with an overhand left.
Piper misses with a body shot.
Piper throws a push kick but Satan slaps the foot to one side.
Satan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Satan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Satan ducks under a wild hook from Piper.
Satan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Piper has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Piper cracks a nice hook into Satan's ribs.

Satan lands with a left to the head.
Piper throws a punch but it's blocked by Satan.

Satan has picked Piper up - he's going for a ride! Satan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Piper tries to get to full guard but Satan has control of the leg.
Satan is trying to control. Piper wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Piper tries to roll over but Satan keeps him under control.

Piper tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Satan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Piper swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Piper looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Piper is on top in guard.
Damien Satan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Piper fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Satan is out of range.

Piper walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Satan checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Satan avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Satan closes the distance and clinches up with Piper, looking for a takedown. Satan pushes Piper against the cage but Piper circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Damien Satan will probably get the nod.
