Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin MacOwan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fabio Capone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin MacOwan!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capone blocks a jab.
Capone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
MacOwan throws out a loose jab but Capone uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fighters circling - MacOwan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
MacOwan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and MacOwan wants it to stay on the feet.
Capone goes for a double leg but MacOwan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as MacOwan continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabio Capone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Capone keeps control of MacOwan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Capone drops to a knee looking for a takedown but MacOwan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

MacOwan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Capone shoots for a takedown but MacOwan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
MacOwan missing with a left hand there. Capone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Capone uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from MacOwan.
Capone shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with MacOwan but MacOwan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Capone is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


It looks like Fabio Capone has been cut.
Capone fails with a takedown attempt.
MacOwan scores with a jab to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Capone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but MacOwan swivels and escapes.
MacOwan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
MacOwan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Capone on the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
MacOwan missing with a left hand there. Capone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
MacOwan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
MacOwan misses with an uppercut.
MacOwan throws a hook but Capone blocks it.
Capone shoots in looking for a takedown. MacOwan tries to sprawl out of it but Capone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. MacOwan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
MacOwan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Capone was well out of range. Poor timing from MacOwan.
MacOwan looks to throw the jab but Capone is out of range.
Capone moves away from the strike by MacOwan.
MacOwan throws an overhand right that lands on Capone's shoulder, as Capone tries to avoid the shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

MacOwan drops Capone with a big left hand and mounts him. Capone is in big trouble!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

MacOwan stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Capone moves out of range as MacOwan strikes.
MacOwan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Capone.
MacOwan lunges at Capone with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Capone's hand.
Nice sprawl there from MacOwan as Capone shoots in.
MacOwan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Capone on the side of the head.
Capone takes one to the chin there.
Capone steps to the side to avoid the strikes from MacOwan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
MacOwan throws a jab when Capone was well out of range.
MacOwan missing with a left hand there. Capone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

MacOwan moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Capone goes down! Can MacOwan finish him!?


Capone is rocked!

MacOwan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Capone moves out of range as MacOwan strikes.
MacOwan throws a jab but it's blocked by Capone.
MacOwan drops Capone with a naaaaasty hook - Capone is in real trouble here! MacOwan dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin MacOwan!
Kevin MacOwan decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
