PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between ensio toisio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Adebisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
toisio takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Adebisi forces toisio back against the cage and clinches.

Adebisi is working for takedown but toisio is calmly controlling the position for now.

Adebisi gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, toisio regains guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Adebisi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

toisio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Adebisi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adebisi stands and steps away. toisio gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
toisio misses with a takedown attempt - Adebisi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Adebisi wants to clinch up but toisio keeps it at a distance.

toisio throws a right and a left that Adebisi avoids nicely.
toisio could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Adebisi tries a head kick but it misses.

toisio gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Adebisi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. toisio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Adebisi wants to control from the top but toisio keeps moving.
Adebisi is looking to work some ground and pound but toisio has wrist control.
toisio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Adebisi manages to get himself to full guard.

Adebisi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

toisio goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Adebisi turns into him and now he's in toisio's guard.

toisio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Adebisi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

toisio will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now toisio is on top in guard.

Adebisi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. toisio doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. toisio manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

toisio tries to free his leg and advance position but Adebisi is retaining full guard.
Adebisi has momentary wrist control but toisio slips an elbow through the middle.
toisio slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Adebisi manages to work his way to half guard, despite toisio's best efforts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Simon Adebisi will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Adebisi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
toisio shoots in but no luck this time.

toisio forces Adebisi back against the cage and clinches.
toisio gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Adebisi.
Adebisi just leaning against toisio, taking a breather.
Adebisi lands a hook to the side of the head.
toisio tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Adebisi smiles and moves away.
Adebisi throws a series of punches but toisio moves out of range.
toisio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Adebisi tries to avoid it but toisio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Adebisi to the ground. Adebisi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for ensio toisio. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Adebisi tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Adebisi is fighting off a takedown attempt but toisio is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Adebisi to the mat. Adebisi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

toisio seems to be working for a kimura but Adebisi defends the submission attempt.
toisio wants to pass the guard but Adebisi is defending well.
Adebisi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of toisio's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take toisio's back!
toisio is covering up but some of the strikes from Adebisi are getting through and doing damage.

Adebisi is trying to stick to toisio's back but toisio is turning into Adebisi. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Adebisi's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by toisio.

toisio postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Adebisi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of toisio, into his guard.

Adebisi has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing toisio to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Adebisi is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - toisio pulls down on the head and he's put Adebisi to sleep! This one is all over!
