The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michael blocks a head kick by Do Urden.
Do Urden throws a push kick but Michael slaps the foot to one side.
Do Urden leaves Michael with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Michael fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Do Urden is looking to slow Michael down with leg kicks.
Michael wants to clinch.
Michael throws a solid leg kick but Do Urden takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Michael.
Do Urden moves out of range as Michael throws a body kick.
Do Urden throws a leg kick which misses Michael's front leg but catches the back leg as Michael tries to avoid it.

Michael takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Michael closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Do Urden did well to prevent Michael getting side control.

Do Urden has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Michael is working away from the top position though.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Christian Michael wasn't active enough on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Whack! Do Urden lands a heavy head kick that drops Michael. The ref tackles Do Urden to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Michael was done.
