Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Can't Hold Us. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Harper throws a looping overhand right but Brown ducks down to avoid it.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Brown working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Brown fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Harper sprawls well initially but Brown persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Harper cracks Brown with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Harper wants to get up but he can't break Brown's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Brown doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Brown has his foot on Harper's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harper works his way back into a safe position though.

Brown manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Harper's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Brown postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Harper looks a forlorn figure.
