PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Weiland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sampson has chosen Metallica Seek and Destroy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Sampson counters with a three punch combo that has Weiland backing up. Weiland nods at Sampson to acknowledge the strikes.
Sampson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Weiland paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sampson has his foot on Weiland's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Weiland works his way back into a safe position though.
Weiland has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sampson is proving hard to escape from.

Sampson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Weiland can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
