Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dazza Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen F*ck The Authority as his entrance music. Dazza Smith will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dazza Smith!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
Smith darts in trying to clinch

and Kong counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Smith!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Smith tries to improve position but can't.

Kong decides to stand back up.
Smith throws a push kick but Kong slaps the foot to one side.
A chopping leg kick lands by Smith.
Kong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Smith defends it nicely.
Smith cracks a nice hook into Kong's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith throws a quick inside leg kick.
Good leg kick by Smith there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Smith scores with a nice head shot.
Dazza Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kong tries for a takedown but Smith sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith connects with a body shot.
Kong is breathing heavily.
Smith moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Smith looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Kong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Smith is looking to regain half guard here but Kong keeps moving and retains side control.
Smith can't do much from the bottom here.
Kong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Smith is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Kong is working for a kimura but Smith is defending it quite comfortably.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith tries to get to full guard but Kong has control of the leg.

Smith trying to get back to full guard but Kong takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Smith tries to control Kong's body but Kong pushes him off. Smith squirms to his side and now Kong has his back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
I really don't envy Smith right now.

Smith won't enjoy being in this position. Kong looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Smith is tapping - it's over boys! Kong picks up the submission victory!
