Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Kingsbury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wynne Martin!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingsbury thuds a left hand into Martin's body.
Sloppy strikes from Kingsbury. Those never looked like landing.
Martin goes for a double leg but Kingsbury avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kingsbury continues to drive forward.

Martin has picked Kingsbury up - he's going for a ride! Martin dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Kingsbury is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Martin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kingsbury enables Martin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kingsbury manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Martin in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kingsbury scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Martin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kingsbury pinned against the cage. Kingsbury gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Martin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kingsbury manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Martin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kingsbury wants to get back to his feet but Martin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wynne Martin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Martin closes the distance and clinches.

Martin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Martin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Martin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Martin is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kingsbury can't fight it off and eventually Martin manages to take the fight to the floor. Kingsbury looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Martin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Kingsbury.
I think Martin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
