Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mister Spock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spock kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rolling Stones- 2,000 Light Years From Home. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spock lands with a nice body kick.
Spock throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Spock tries to clinch but Witt moves out of range.
That kick from Witt tenderised Spock's leg. Spock is trying to keep his angry face on.
A big right from Witt misses.
Spock lands with a kick to the temple. Witt shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Spock gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Witt keeps the fight on the outside.
Witt looks to score with a jab to the body but Spock is just out of range.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That was a close round but I would say that Mister Spock will probably get the nod.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Witt swings for the body but Spock moves out of range.

and Spock counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Spock.
Spock lands an elbow inside that Witt shrugs off.

It looks like Aaron Witt has been cut.
Witt lands a right hand that snaps the head of Spock backwards.
Spock tries to land knees in the clinch but Witt avoids the damage to the body.

Spock swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Witt is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Spock can't fight it off and eventually Witt manages to take the fight to the floor. Spock looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Aaron Witt wasn't active enough on the ground.
Witt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Spock is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mister Spock will probably get the nod.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Mister Spock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Aaron Witt has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Mister Spock has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Spock feints and then cracks Witt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Witt down.
Witt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Spock fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Witt has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
