The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macarenco changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wake tries to avoid it but Macarenco manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wake to the ground. Wake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wake darts in and clinches Macarenco up against the cage.

Wake breaks the clinch.
Macarenco with a poor takedown
and Wake counters with a nice uppercut.
Wake leaves Macarenco with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rubiao Macarenco. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Macarenco shoots and misses
and Wake counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Macarenco badly! He tries to strike back but Wake puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Macarenco out cold! Oh man, Macarenco will never hear the end of this one!
