Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Heywood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakim Muhammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Heywood might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fast Food Song. Hakim Muhammed has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Nice sprawl there from Heywood as Muhammed shoots in.
Heywood fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Heywood closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Heywood throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Muhammed can do anything to dispel that myth.
Heywood seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Heywood is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Muhammed!
The referee warns Muhammed that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Heywood is working for a guillotine from mount but Muhammed frees his head quite easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Heywood tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Heywood has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Muhammed's face.

Muhammed is squirming around, avoiding Heywood's attempts to control the action.
Heywood loads up with a big shot that hurts Muhammed! He's pulled Heywood in close but Heywood has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Muhammed survive? More strikes from Heywood and Muhammed is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

After the fight, Simon Heywood was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
