Erikson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is PrideFC. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erikson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Veilleux defends well and Erikson ends up having to push Veilleux into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Erikson tries to score a body lock takedown but Veilleux shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Erikson can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Erikson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Veilleux will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Erikson up against the cage.

Veilleux pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Veilleux lands a right hook to the body.

Veilleux lands a left and a right that send Erikson crashing to the mat, dazed. Veilleux thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Tom Erikson has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Erikson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Veilleux dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Erikson is breathing heavily.
Veilleux lands a head shot.
Erikson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Veilleux's waist but Veilleux gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Erikson off to one side.
Veilleux drops Erikson with a big left hand! Erikson is injured, injured bad! Veilleux jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
