Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Syatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Syatt's entrance music is Tony Bennett - I wanna be around. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Masters's choice of entrance music: Living in America. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Syatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ken Masters!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters stuffs the takedown attempt from Syatt. Syatt gets slowly back to his feet.
A clash of legs there as Syatt blocks the low kick.

Syatt looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Masters!
Syatt is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Masters pushes Syatt away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Syatt gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Masters is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Syatt off and has taken his back!
Syatt tries to roll but Masters sticks to his back.
Syatt manages to reverse the position and now he's in Masters's guard. Nice work there by Syatt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Masters is trying to hold Syatt in close to prevent damage but Syatt has managed to pass into half guard.
Masters looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Masters wants to control the action here but instead Syatt manages to pass to full mount!
Masters tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Syatt landing punches.
Syatt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Masters keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Syatt controlling the position easily from mount.
Masters prevents Syatt from taking his back.

Masters defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Syatt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Masters tries to hold on but Syatt pushes him away.

Syatt jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Masters is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Masters and Syatt has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Syatt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Masters has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Masters can't do much from the bottom here.
Syatt controls the position.
Masters tries to bench press Syatt off him but Syatt keeps the position.

Syatt wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Masters, who protects the arm well.

Syatt thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Masters is trying to improve his position.
Masters is trying to control Syatt's posture but Syatt avoids it.

Syatt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Syatt scores with a couple of short elbows.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Syatt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Masters has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Syatt dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Syatt fails with a takedown attempt.
Masters throws a head kick but Syatt moves out of range.
Masters throws a right and a left that both miss.
Masters throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Masters misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Syatt closes the distance and clinches up with Masters, looking for a takedown. Syatt pushes Masters against the cage but Masters circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lee Syatt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Syatt moves in looking to clinch but Masters pushes him off.

Syatt has Masters up against the cage in a clinch.
Masters using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Syatt has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Masters pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Masters connects with a body shot that sends Syatt's belly button to the back.
Masters is looking to land body kicks.
Masters tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Syatt paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ken Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Masters throws a half hearted mid kick.
Masters throws a one two combo.
Masters tests Syatt's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A punch combination from Masters misses.
Masters lands with a nice body kick.
Syatt avoids a punch combination nicely.

Syatt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Masters sprawls well initially but Syatt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Syatt is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Syatt lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Syatt is looking for a kimura but Masters is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Syatt to get the leverage.
Syatt prevents Masters from standing back up.

Syatt is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Masters has managed to free his arm - good work.

Syatt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Masters defends it well.

Syatt wants to work for an arm triangle but Masters is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Syatt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Masters doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Syatt.

Syatt is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Masters sees it coming and defends easily.

Masters tries to roll over but Syatt keeps him under control.

Syatt trying to control from half guard but Masters is working away.
Masters trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Syatt manages to pass to mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Syatt is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Masters is surviving well by controlling Syatt's body position as best he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Syatt dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Masters just misses with a punch to the body.
Masters tries to clinch there but Syatt circles away.
Masters misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Syatt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Masters throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Masters throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Masters closes the distance but Syatt moves to the side

and Syatt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Syatt.
Masters looking to throw knees to the head but Syatt is blocking nicely.
Masters gets underhooks to prevent Syatt's takedown attempt.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Masters just misses with a elbow thrown towards Syatt's brow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Syatt keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Masters's efforts to push away.
Syatt blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Masters is trying to push Syatt away but Syatt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Syatt drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Masters wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Syatt has him pressed against the cage.
Masters tries to circle away but Syatt has him pinned against the cage.
Masters stalling in the clinch but Syatt improves position.
Masters goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Syatt on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Syatt turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Syatt manages to end up in side control.

Syatt grinds an elbow into Masters's temple.
Syatt is staying tight to Masters's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Syatt tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Syatt has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Masters is letting Syatt control him for a moment.

Syatt working away.
Syatt takes a little break here. Masters wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Masters is trying to control Syatt's posture but Syatt avoids it.

Syatt is working to tighten his grip on Masters's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Masters has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Syatt is really squeezing tight and eventually Masters passes out! Syatt breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Lee Syatt!
A very excited looking Lee Syatt made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
