Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Te Rauparaha Ii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Cheeseman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benjamin Cheeseman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheeseman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cheeseman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cheeseman tries to clinch up but Rauparaha Ii circles away and keeps his distance.
Cheeseman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rauparaha Ii was covering up waiting for the punch and Cheeseman finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rauparaha Ii preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Cheeseman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rauparaha Ii has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cheeseman has managed to get both his arms back between Rauparaha Ii's legs - danger averted.

Rauparaha Ii working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cheeseman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cheeseman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cheeseman wants to stand but Rauparaha Ii has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Cheeseman wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Rauparaha Ii's closed guard. He's half up but Rauparaha Ii has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Rauparaha Ii pivots and extends the arm, Cheeseman falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Rauparaha Ii! Well done that man!
