Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Impaler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monte Christo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christo has chosen Walk this way - Run DMC & Aerosmith as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Monte Christo!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Impaler lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Impaler.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Christo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Impaler has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Impaler and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Christo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Impaler.

Monte Christo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Vlad Impaler will probably get the nod.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Impaler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
