Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Polish Engineer!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monster looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Engineer has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Monster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Engineer swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Engineer is trying to stick to Monster's back but Monster is turning into Engineer. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Engineer's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Monster.
Monster stands and throws Engineer's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Engineer parries the strikes from Monster easily there. Monster is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Engineer to escape.
Monster tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Engineer avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Monster.
Monster wants to control but Engineer is keeping him busy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dingo Monster dominated that round.

Engineer checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

and Engineer counters with a stiff right hand.

Monster fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Monster tries to clinch there but Engineer circles away.
Monster pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Monster throws a head kick but Engineer moves out of range.
Left hook, right uppercut from Engineer.

Monster gets a clinch.
Engineer taking a breather.
Monster pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Monster tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Engineer turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Engineer manages to end up in side control.
Monster is not content to let Engineer control the position.
Engineer lands some shots froms side control.
Monster is working to avoid the ground and pound but Engineer connects with a decent elbow.
Monster is trying to get back to his feet.
Engineer scoring with punches and elbows.


Monster is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A big shot lands for Engineer! That's hurt Monster! Will he recover? Engineer fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Polish Engineer!
Polish Engineer spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
