Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Punisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Punisher gets a clinch.
Punisher prevents the takedown attempt.
Punisher looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Meyer is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Meyer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Meyer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Meyer has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Punisher after a bit of a struggle.
Punisher makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Punisher.

Punisher manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Meyer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Punisher looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Punisher looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Punisher!
Meyer is looking to regain half guard here but Punisher keeps moving and retains side control.

Meyer is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Punisher misses with the ground and pound.
Meyer gets back to half guard.
Meyer manages to get to full guard.
Meyer is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Meyer tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Meyer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Punisher defends it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Punisher looking to sit in guard and control but Meyer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Meyer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Meyer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Meyer slips nicely into half guard.
Meyer looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Punisher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Meyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Meyer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Meyer wants to pass the guard but Punisher is defending well.

Meyer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Punisher doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Meyer.
Meyer wants to pass to mount but Punisher is defending the position.
Meyer is working hard here to advance position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Meyer wants to advance to full mount but Punisher doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Punisher leaves Meyer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Meyer misses with a takedown attempt - Punisher sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Punisher fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Meyer, pushing him back against the cage.
Punisher landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Punisher breaks the clinch.

Punisher looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Meyer!
Meyer is trying to control Punisher's posture but Punisher avoids it.

Meyer sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Punisher is thwarting Meyer's attempts to control the position.

Meyer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Punisher pulls his head out easily.
Meyer tries to roll over but Punisher keeps him under control.
Meyer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Meyer.
Punisher looking to sit in guard and control but Meyer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Meyer has gone for a leg lock! Punisher slips out almost immediately though and dives into Meyer's guard.

Punisher trying to stand up but can't free himself from Meyer's guard.

Meyer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Punisher is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Punisher stopping the sweep attempt from Meyer.
Punisher throws an elbow that misses. Meyer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Punisher's guard. Nice move by Meyer!
Meyer passes Punisher's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Meyer is looking for a kimura here.

Meyer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Meyer is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Punisher is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
