Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob The Robber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Miller might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Till I Collapse. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jordan Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob The Robber!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller shoots for a takedown but The Robber saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A swing and a miss from The Robber.
The Robber throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Miller sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Miller bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The Robber throws a looping overhand right but Miller ducks down to avoid it.
Jordan Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Robber can do anything to dispel that myth.

The Robber gets tackled into the cage by Miller. Miller maintains the clinch.
The Robber is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Miller is keeping busy.
The Robber tries to break free but Miller pushes him back against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Miller gets control of The Robber's arms and successfully pulls guard. Miller will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The Robber looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The Robber really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The Robber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Miller clinches up with The Robber and pushes him back against the cage.

Miller changes levels and goes for a takedown here. The Robber fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Miller throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Miller drops to a knee looking for a takedown but The Robber gets the underhooks and prevents it.
The Robber blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The Robber wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Miller moves into range and clinches up with The Robber.
The Robber wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Miller is trying to get an arm triangle but The Robber is defending well.
Miller wants to stand but The Robber is controlling his arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miller is trying to ground and pound but The Robber uses the momentary lack of control by Miller to regain half guard.

The Robber is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Miller fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A punch lands to the side of Miller 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miller throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. The Robber tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Miller is in The Robber's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miller connects with a good right hand that stumbles The Robber. The Robber circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bob The Robber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jordan Miller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jordan Miller.
Well Miller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Jordan Miller rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
