Pettis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is kush. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis shoots in for a takedown but Skayias shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Pettis tries to clinch up but Skayias circles away and keeps his distance.
Pettis tries to move into range but Skayias moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Skayias closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
