Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rene Concreto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baptista Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Concreto keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Reis.
Concreto lands an overhand right.

It looks like Baptista Reis has been cut.
Concreto throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reis.
A combination from Concreto does no damage.
Reis takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Concreto throws a right and a left that both miss.
Concreto avoids the body shot from Reis.
Concreto stalks Reis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Reis's face. Reis staggers backwards, shaken.

Oooooh!!! Concreto has knocked Reis down with a huge combo! Concreto steps away and waves a wobbly Reis back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Reis is rocked!

That has opened up Baptista Reis's cut even more.
Concreto swinging wildly here.
Reis is still on wobbly legs! Can Concreto finish him?
Reis scores with a jab to the head.
Reis seems to have recovered his senses.
Concreto takes one to the side of the head.
Reis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nice body punch from Reis.
Reis dips to his left and cracks Concreto with an uppercut!
Reis looks to land a combination. Concreto sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Concreto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Concreto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Reis swinging wildly here.
Concreto falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Reis counter with a right hand.
Concreto rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Reis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Concreto's guard now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Baptista Reis was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Concreto slips a jab and a cross from Reis.
Concreto misses with a two punch combination.
Concreto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Reis lands a head shot.

Reis drops Concreto with a beautiful combination! Concreto stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Reis is looking for the KO!

Concreto is rocked!

It looks like Rene Concreto has been cut.
Reis finds Concreto's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Concreto flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Reis lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Concreto will be OK.
