The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takiyama shoots in for a takedown but Westworth shows good takedown defense.
Takiyama is looking to clinch but Westworth is avoiding it.
Westworth misses with a series of wild punches.
Matt Westworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takiyama tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Westworth manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Westworth throws a right hand that Takiyama ducks under and follows up with a left that Takiyama also avoids with ease.
Westworth throws a series of punches but Takiyama avoids them all with ease.
Westworth connects with a crisp jab.

It looks like Yamamoto Takiyama has been cut.

Takiyama looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Westworth is fending him off so far but Takiyama persists. Nope, Westworth circles away and we're back to standing.

Westworth slaps away a takedown attempt from Takiyama, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Westworth lands a left and a right that send Takiyama crashing to the mat, dazed. Westworth thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Westworth lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Takiyama - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Westworth!
