Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Staller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Remo Williams!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Staller moves in looking to clinch but Williams pushes him off.
Staller displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Williams throws out the jab.
Williams misses with a hook. Staller ducked under it nicely.
Staller ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Staller closes the distance and clinches.
Staller tries for a takedown. No joy.

Staller manages to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Staller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Staller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Williams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Staller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Staller is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Williams seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Staller keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Staller tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams content to stall in guard here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Remo Williams was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Staller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Staller uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Williams.
Staller misses with a takedown attempt - Williams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Staller. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Staller walks into a left hand.
Staller fails with the takedown
letting Williams counter with a right hand.
Staller swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Williams swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Williams misses with a looping right.
Williams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Williams wants it to stay on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Staller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Williams pinned against the cage. Williams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Staller shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense.
Staller goes for a double leg but Williams avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Williams continues to drive forward.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice body punch from Williams.
Staller is trying to stall.
Williams gets through Staller's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Williams just leaning against Staller, taking a breather.
Staller is looking to take this one to the mat.
Williams lands with a right to the head.

Williams breaks from the clinch.
Williams cracks Staller with a good jab.
Williams scores with a hook.
Williams throws a right hand that Staller ducks under and follows up with a left that Staller also avoids with ease.

Staller clinches.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Staller is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Williams gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Williams creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Williams breaks the clinch.
Staller dives in and grabs Williams's left leg, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes down on Staller's head and hops out.
A punch combination from Williams misses.
Staller walks into a left hand.
Staller closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Williams lands a jab to Staller's midsection.
Staller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Williams pinned against the cage. Williams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Williams thuds his right hand into Staller's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams Rushes Staller and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Staller is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Williams Piles on the pressure and Staller crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Remo Williams!
