PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Swoop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swoop throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dover's waist but Dover gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swoop off to one side.

Swoop gets tackled into the cage by Dover. Dover maintains the clinch.
Dover has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Swoop is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Dover pulls guard.
Swoop won't allow Dover to get back to his feet.
Swoop tries to free his leg and advance position but Dover is retaining full guard.

Dover is looking for a triangle but Swoop pushes his legs off easily.
Dover trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Swoop prevents Dover from getting back to his feet.
Swoop trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Swoop trying to control but Dover is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Swoop postures up in Dover's guard and throws a big left but Dover blocks it.

Swoop trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dover looking for a sweep. Not yet Dover, not yet.

Dover is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Swoop defends well.
Dover keeping moving, preventing Swoop from controlling successfully.
Dover looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Swoop got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dover has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Swoop has managed to get both his arms back between Dover's legs - danger averted.
Swoop controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jim Swoop.
Dover throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ben Dover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dover fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Swoop is out of range.
Dover swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Dover is looking to clinch but Swoop is avoiding it.
Dover throws a body punch but Swoop moves out of range.
Dover swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dover throws a head kick that misses.
Dover looks winded!
Swoop tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dover swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dover tries to score with a low kick but Swoop moves his leg out of the way.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Swoop decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Swoop is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dover!
Swoop tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Swoop trying to control but Dover is having none of it.

Dover has left one of his arms exposed and Swoop doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Dover screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
