Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ponce Leon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javi Morci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leon comes to the cage accompanied by Pour UP. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morci closes the distance and clinches up with Leon , looking for a takedown. Morci pushes Leon against the cage but Leon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Leon moves in looking to clinch but Morci pushes him off.

Leon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Morci paws at him with a jab and circles away.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Leon .

Morci is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morci is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Leon defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morci throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Leon because Morci loaded up on that one.

Leon moves to clinch but Morci breaks away

and Morci moves into the clinch.

Morci blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Morci drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Morci jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Morci stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Leon wants to get back to his feet but Morci is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Morci slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Leon is trying to escape the position but Morci is controlling the position.
Leon managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Morci.
Leon is letting Morci control him for a moment.

Morci wants to finish this one by submission but Leon is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Morci.
Leon is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Morci has taken his back.

Leon has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Javi Morci showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Morci shoots in but Leon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice takedown defense from Leon . No joy for Morci on that attempt.
Leon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Morci.
Ponce Leon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Javi Morci.
Morci dives in and grabs Leon 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Leon pushes down on Morci's head and hops out.
Leon throws a nice looking combination but Morci bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Leon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Morci uses from the top position.
Leon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morci on the ground.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Morci manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Leon wants a takedown.

Leon is fighting to break Morci's control of his arms but Morci is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Morci pushes Leon off and gets back to his feet.
Ponce Leon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Morci lands a hook that snaps the head of Leon backwards.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Leon misses with a few strikes there.

and Morci counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
