The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orelhas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Orelhas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mcall swivels and escapes.
Bernardo Orelhas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mcall drops back, looking for a kneebar! Orelhas looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Orelhas looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Orelhas!

Orelhas stands up and beckons Mcall to his feet.
Orelhas shoots in for a takedown but Mcall shows good takedown defense.

Mcall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mcall is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Orelhas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mcall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Orelhas on the ground.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
