Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lars Thunstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thunstrom comes to the cage accompanied by Prodigy - Spitfire. Mathers comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Superman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Thunstrom lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mathers doesn't seem phased though.
Thunstrom looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Thunstrom slips a jab from Mathers.
Thunstrom throws a jab but it's blocked by Mathers.
Mathers throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Thunstrom misses with a straight left.
Thunstrom moves out of range of the leg kick from Mathers.
Mathers throws a big shot that misses.
Mathers takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Mathers defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thunstrom.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sloppy strikes from Mathers. Those never looked like landing.

Thunstrom looks to throw the jab but Mathers is out of range.
Mathers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thunstrom moves away.
Thunstrom is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Thunstrom breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Thunstrom throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mathers's jab looks to have found its range, popping Thunstrom under the eye.
Mathers takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A lazy left from Thunstrom finds it's target.
A head kick from Mathers lands but Thunstrom takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thunstrom throws a big shot that misses.

and Mathers counters with a body kick.
Thunstrom drops his hands momentarily and Mathers takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A nice inside leg kick there by Mathers. That's going to slow Thunstrom down.
Thunstrom swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mathers walks into a stiff left hand from Thunstrom.
Mathers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thunstrom moves away.
Thunstrom just misses with a punch to the body.
Mathers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mathers has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Thunstrom walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Thunstrom lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mathers circles away quickly and effectively.
Thunstrom shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mathers defends it nicely.
Whack! Mathers lands a heavy head kick that drops Thunstrom. The ref tackles Mathers to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Thunstrom was done.
