Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sheng Jen Kuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Riordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Riordan!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kuo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Tommy Riordan has been cut.
Kuo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Riordan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Riordan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kuo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Riordan manages to get himself to full guard.

Kuo throws a strike but Riordan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've been hearing that Kuo has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Kuo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Riordan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Kuo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Riordan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kuo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Riordan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
