Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Kenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Buck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 3, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick Kenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harold Buck!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buck dodges the punch combination from Kenzie.
Kenzie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Buck counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kenzie waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Buck.
A big right from Buck misses.
Kenzie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Buck swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Buck steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kenzie.
Kenzie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kenzie lands a glancing blow to the side of Buck's head.
Kenzie throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kenzie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Buck.

Kenzie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Buck defending well as Kenzie loads up on a big left hand.

Buck moves out of range as Kenzie strikes.
Sloppy strikes from Kenzie. Those never looked like landing.
Kenzie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Buck misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kenzie.

It looks like Patrick Kenzie has been cut.
Kenzie digs a good hook to Buck's body.
Buck scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Kenzie pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kenzie connects with a body shot.
Buck shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Buck shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kenzie as he avoids it easily.
Patrick Kenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Buck.
Buck drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kenzie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Buck closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kenzie did well to prevent Buck getting side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Buck is looking for a kimura but Kenzie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Buck to get the leverage.
Kenzie gets back to full guard.

Kenzie keeping moving, preventing Buck from controlling successfully.
Kenzie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Harold Buck hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Buck keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Buck is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Buck drives through with a takedown into guard.
Buck slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Buck stopping the sweep attempt from Kenzie.
Kenzie is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Buck is controlling him.

Kenzie looking to control.
Buck looking to sit in guard and control but Kenzie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kenzie has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Buck is proving hard to escape from.

Buck had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kenzie defends it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Buck looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kenzie decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Buck, up you get!

Buck throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Buck moves away from the strike by Kenzie.
Buck defending well as Kenzie loads up on a big left hand.

Buck moves out of range as Kenzie strikes.

It looks like Harold Buck has been cut.
Buck swings for the body but Kenzie moves out of range.
Kenzie connects with a jab.
Buck takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Buck throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Buck slips under a jab.
Kenzie works over Buck's head and body with a nice combination.
Kenzie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kenzie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Buck finds it's way round the side to connect with Kenzie's head.

Kenzie gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Kenzie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Buck passes into half guard.
Buck tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kenzie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kenzie is trying is best to control the position here.

Buck wants to work for an arm triangle but Kenzie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Buck seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Buck is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kenzie defends it well.

Kenzie tries to kick Buck off but Buck keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kenzie is positioning himself well to prevent Buck advancing to mount.

Buck trying to advance position but Kenzie counters by regaining guard.
Buck trying to control the position from guard on top but Kenzie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kenzie trying to keep a closed guard but Buck is proving a slippery customer.
Buck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kenzie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kenzie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Buck defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buck wants to control from the top but Kenzie keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Buck digs a good hook to Kenzie's body.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kenzie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kenzie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Harold Buck will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Kenzie is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kenzie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Buck.
Buck lands with an overhand left.
Kenzie connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kenzie bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Buck's head backwards.
Patrick Kenzie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kenzie wants to clinch up but Buck keeps it at a distance.
Kenzie takes one to the side of the head.

Kenzie wants to clinch but Buck slips to the side
and Buck counters with a crisp right that sends Kenzie to the canvas! Buck follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
