Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Ricorado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirko Ledoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirko Ledoy will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Justin Ricorado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kirko Ledoy!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricorado fails with the takedown.

Ricorado gets a takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ledoy can do anything to dispel that myth.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Ricorado throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ledoy gets back to full guard.
Ricorado postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Ricorado lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Ledoy pulls Ricorado in close to his closed guard and prevents Ricorado from doing any damage or advancing position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ledoy is on top in guard.

Ledoy with a flurry of punches that miss.

Ledoy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Some wild striking there from Ledoy.

Ricorado fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ledoy to the ground. Ricorado is now in Ledoy's guard.

Ledoy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ricorado throwing strikes from guard but Ledoy blocks nicely.
Ricorado throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ledoy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ledoy trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Ledoy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ledoy looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Ricorado wants to stand and escape but instead Ledoy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Ricorado is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ricorado not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Ricorado isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ledoy stacks Ricorado on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ledoy!

Ledoy decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ricorado to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Ledoy thuds a left hand into Ricorado's body.
Ledoy looks to land a combination. Ricorado sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Ricorado is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ledoy closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A left lands for Ledoy.
Ledoy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ricorado at a distance.
Ledoy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ricorado on the side of the head.
Ledoy stuffs the takedown attempt from Ricorado. Ricorado gets slowly back to his feet.
Ledoy misses with the combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ricorado swings away with a body shot that misses
and Ledoy makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Ledoy lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ricorado's sensitive parts.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirko Ledoy dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Ledoy has managed to clinch.
Ricorado has Ledoy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ledoy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ricorado changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ledoy fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Justin Ricorado is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ricorado is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ledoy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Ricorado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ledoy thuds a left hand into Ricorado's body.
Ledoy leaves Ricorado with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ledoy digs a good hook to Ricorado's body.
Ledoy connects with a body shot that sends Ricorado's belly button to the back.
Ledoy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ricorado's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ledoy lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ricorado's sensitive parts.
Kirko Ledoy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ledoy lands a two punch combo.


Ricorado is rocked!
Ledoy lands with a big right hook that stumbles Ricorado - he's out on his feet here! Ledoy follows up with another monster hook that separates Ricorado from consciousness! Ricorado falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Ledoy stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kirko Ledoy!
Kirko Ledoy decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
