Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Master Chuin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustav Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuin's entrance music is Remo WIlliams Theme. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Master Chuin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gustav Graves!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuin goes for a double leg but Graves avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Graves continues to drive forward.
A short right from Graves on the inside.
Graves scores with a shot to the side of Chuin's head.
Chuin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Graves pulls his leg out and moves away.
Chuin with a poor takedown
and Graves counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Master Chuin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Graves explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Graves misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've been hearing reports that Chuin has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Graves swings for the body but Chuin moves out of range.
Graves throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Chuin shoots in for a double leg but Graves sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chuin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chuin gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Graves moves into the clinch.
Graves works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Chuin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Graves just stands there and leans against the cage.

Chuin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Graves forces Chuin back against the cage and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Graves misses with the head strike.
Graves gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chuin.

Chuin successfully pulls guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Chuin looking for a guillotine here but Graves defends easily.
Graves is looking to pass into half guard but Chuin pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Chuin is in guard.
Chuin trying to control but Graves is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Graves looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chuin is one step ahead there.
Graves keeping moving, preventing Chuin from controlling successfully.
Chuin tries to free his leg and advance position but Graves is retaining full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Master Chuin wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Chuin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Graves avoids it really well and circles away.
Graves has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.

Graves fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chuin, pushing him back against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Graves creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Chuin fails to pull guard.
Graves can't find room to land a body shot as Chuin controls the action.
Graves misses with a body punch.
Graves lands a hook that snaps the head of Chuin backwards.
Chuin fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Graves misses with a body punch.
Chuin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Chuin tries to pull guard but Graves holds him up against the cage and eventually Chuin drops back down to his feet.
Graves misses with a short punch on the inside.
Chuin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Graves is pressed up against the cage. Chuin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Graves down to the mat. Graves avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Gustav Graves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chuin blocks a head kick by Graves.

Graves clinches with his opponent.
Chuin tries to score a body lock takedown but Graves shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Chuin tries to pull guard but Graves won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Graves lands with a light punch inside.
Chuin jumps guard but Graves stands there with Chuin around his waist. Chuin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Graves is pressed up against the cage. Chuin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Graves down to the mat. Graves avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Chuin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Chuin is breathing heavily.
Graves bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Graves connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chuin momentarily.

Graves clinches up against the cage.
Chuin takes a shot to the head.
Graves lands a body punch.
Chuin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Graves walks away with a smile on his face. Chuin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Graves misses with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Chuin or perhaps it was just good defense by Graves which made him look bad.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Graves scores with a hook.
Chuin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gustav Graves dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Chuin shoots in and drives through. Graves sprawls well.
Graves cracks Chuin's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Chuin slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Graves can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gustav Graves!
