PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jarvis Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Light Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into the arena with its a fight blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Light Joe!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe digs a good hook to Brown's body.
Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Some bone on bone action there as Brown checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Brown looks for a takedown but Joe sprawls well.
Joe pivots, looking for a leg kick but Brown is out of range and Joe settles back down.
Brown gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Joe is trying to control but Brown manages to pass to mount!
Brown lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Joe hang on?
Brown is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Joe can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Joe is looking to improve his position but Brown isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Joe is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Joe can do anything to dispel that myth.
A big strike lands for Brown! That's really hurt Joe and he's turned his back - Brown keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Brown jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jarvis Brown!
Jarvis Brown decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
