And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slammer fails to land the takedown.
James looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Slammer, pushing him back against the cage.
James has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
James pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Slammer wants the takedown. James is fighting it off but Slammer persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in James's guard against the cage.
We've been hearing good reports from Slammer's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
James is looking to stand up but Slammer isn't so interested in that idea.

James wants to stand but Slammer is controlling the position.
Slammer stands and throws James's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Slammer creates some space and throws a big elbow, but James sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Slammer in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... James is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

After the fight, Leather Slammer was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
