PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Based God (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetrius Floyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Based God has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Based God seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Floyd misses with a series of wild punches.
God goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
God tries to clinch there but Floyd circles away.
Floyd throws a right and a left that God avoids nicely.
Floyd throws a nice looking combination but God bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Floyd misses with a double jab.
Floyd looks to clinch

and God holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
God wants to take the fight to the mat but Floyd manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Floyd lands with a short shot to the head.
God looking to slow down the pace here.
Floyd putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has God in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Floyd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Floyd cracks God with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! God looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Floyd finish him?

God is rocked!

It looks like Based God has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Floyd throws a series of punches but God moves out of range.
Floyd tries to close the distance and clinch but God swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horrible takedown by God or perhaps it was just good defense by Floyd which made him look bad.
God shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Floyd as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Based God. That's going to take a lot out of him.
God is breathing heavily.
God keeps the fight on the outside.
Demetrius Floyd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Floyd lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and God falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

Demetrius Floyd opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
