The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMarty shoots in for a takedown but Leo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Eng Leo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McMarty shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leo sprawls well. Leo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McMarty gets slowly back to his feet.

McMarty tries to sprawl but Leo drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
McMarty looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
McMarty fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Leo avoids it really well and circles away.
Eng Leo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George McMarty.

McMarty gets caught flat footed, as Leo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
McMarty will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Leo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
McMarty is trying to keep Leo in close.

Leo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
McMarty lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Leo!

Leo reaches up to try and control the position but McMarty seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Leo rolls and tries to escape and now McMarty has his back!
